Technology Department Improvement Plan
Overview
Each central office department participated in a two-day operations academy in Nov/Dec. Based on a reflective review of department data, key processes, knowledge management, and customer commitments each department was asked to identify two opportunities for improvement and develop a department goal using the PDSA template for continuous improvement.
The Technology Department's two goals for 2010 include:
Implement a department dashboard for internal and external stakeholders
Key milestones of this plan include:
- Project tracking in Sharepoint (tool, testing, training) – Feb 1
- Implement/Deploy Archibus – Feb 15 – May 31
- Implement Data Warehouse – May 31
- Implement PDExpress for Technical training (taken and provided) – Feb 1
- Sharepoint Portals – Mar – May – July
Documentation of all core job functions
Key milestones of this plan include:
- Establish criteria for key job functions – Jan 31
- Identify consistent format for SOP – Jan 31
- Common Storage Location / Structure / Security - June
Audit / Verification of SOP - August
